Sodium chloride aka salt is an important raw material for both food and chemical industries. That is why I used it to make a landscape of salt to symbolize the importance in our lives being an elementary component in our bodies. But it can be harmful. (According to Scandinavian scientists salt is more harmful in high portions than cigarette smoke.) Most people over use salt. People salt their food even before they start eating. On the plate I wanted to show how much salt is consumed in a health manner over the duration of a month.
